Motive is a web design and development agency based in Wellington, New Zealand. We provide consultation, website design, development and usability evaluation services.

The partners

Motive (Ltd) was established in 2000, and is managed by partners Andy Kirkwood and Justine Flanagan. Their backgrounds include interaction design, visual communications, international politics and linguistics. After nearly a decade in the web industry, they also know a thing or two about what makes a website ‘tick’.

Philosophy

Two concepts are key to what we do; people and fulfillment.

People are those we hope to reach; to inform, educate, entertain or persuade. Working from an understanding your audience means that we can provide appropriate recommendations and services.

Fulfillment is about ensuring that your website or online service works for your audience.

Effective web communication begins with mapping out relationships; between an organisation and its audience; between communications and operational activities; and also the relationships within an organisation.
