340 Phantom House Publishers

Motive has created a website for Phantom House Publishers to showcase their photographic books and calendars.

Travelling without moving

Grant Sheehan's photographs capture the spirit of places and people from around the globe. This inspired Motive’s approach to developing the website.

‘We’ve created narrative ‘slide-shows’ featuring key images.’ says Andy Kirkwood, Motive’s creative director. ‘An image becomes a journey that leads the viewer back to the source publication.’

a unique feel for each featured publication

‘There’s a unique feel for each feature,’ explains John O’Reilly, designer. ‘From cafés and hotels to lighthouses, each has its own colour palette and visual treatment.’

Shelly-Maree Cassidy’s anecdotal narrative accompanies Sheehan’s photography. Cassidy has authored a number of Phantom House publications and written new material for the website.
