As a focus for the wool growers, Wools of New Zealand and the Romney Growers Association approached Motive to develop website concepts.
2000 was a year of transition for the New Zealand wool market. Recommendations made by consultants McKinsey and Co suggested that wool breeder associations could directly develop and promote their own product.
As provider of the majority of New Zealand’s carpet wool exports, the Romney Growers Association was keenly aware of the opportunities.

Motive also developed a temporary website for Perendale New Zealand
promotion for a series of nationwide grower forums
‘The aim of the site,’ explains Andy Kirkwood, lead designer, ‘was to create a communications platform and introduce the Romney New Zealand brand’.
Motive worked with Wools of New Zealand and Sense Marketing on the project to develop concepts and a temporary website. This was subsequently used to promote a series of nationwide grower forums.
Although the Romney New Zealand website development was discontinued, Motive went on to establish a temporary web presence for the Perendale Growers Association.
