The New Zealand Government Locator Service is a method of classifying and categorising New Zealand government agency information and services (both online and offline).
The service is implemented through a metadata standard and thesauri maintained by Archives New Zealand.
Its purpose is to enable more effective communication between agencies and the general public.
The New Zealand standard is based on the Australian government extension of the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative—the Australian Government Locator Service (AGLS).
