Shockwave

Shockwave is a plug-in that allows your browser to display content generated by Macromedia's Director application.

Director

Macromedia Director is an authoring tool for creating sophisticated interaction, and can combine combining animation, sound and video. It is often used to create CD-ROMs, kiosks and games.

Its Shockwave export feature allows content developed to be viewed through a browser.
