The World-Wide Web is an example of an Internet application.
The ’web is a network of files that can be accessed with a software ‘viewer’ or browser. Files can include text, imagery, and time-based media. The web can also be used to access remote services.
A webpage is a text file
At its most simple, a webpage is a text file containing a series of instructions. These instructions tell the browser; where to display content, how large type should be, how one webpage links to another, etc.
